Ms. Gleason, a 30 year commercial finance veteran, co-founded Financial Assets Advisors, L.L.C. in August of 2010 to assist institutional investors in making sound investments in loans to healthcare related businesses. Prior to starting FAA, Ms. Gleason led two units focused on lending to the healthcare industry, one at GMAC and the other at Wells Fargo Foothill. Over the 10 year period Ms. Gleason headed these units, the combined originations exceeded $2.5 Billion without a payment default. In her role, she was responsible for leading all aspects of the financing units including underwriting , marketing, operations and portfolio management. Her career gave her insight into all aspects of the healthcare industry, including regulatory requirements and reimbursement regimes and close relationships with the owners and operators of industry leaders.
Prior to running healthcare finance units, Ms. Gleason was Senior Managing Director and General Counsel at GMAC-ResCap responsible for all legal affairs for this company. Her responsibilities included human resources and marketing. She was a member of the Company's Executive Committee and Co-Led its strategic acquisition council.
Ms. Gleason started her career at the prestigious law firm of Dorsey & Whitney, where she was a partner in their banking department. Her practice was focused on representing lending institutions in transactions, distressed situations and bankruptcy.
She holds a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University and graduated magna cum laude. She holds a B.A. in political science from Denison University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Ms. Gleason focuses her free time in a variety of community work, including serving as Board Chair of the Minnesota, North Dakota and south Dakota chapters of The Nature Conservancy. She is also on the Board of Directors of a mutual fund company.
Luis M. Meade
Mr. Meade co-founded Financial Assets Advisors, L.L.C. in August of 2010 to assist institutional investors expand their loan portfolios into the healthcare sector. Mr. Meade brings 20 years of experience in the financial services sector with seven years dedicated to healthcare lending.
Prior to co-founding FAA, Mr. Meade was Director and Senior Underwriter responsible for GMAC Health Capital’s underwriting activities. During his tenure at GMAC Health Capital, from 2004 to 2010, Mr. Meade underwrote over $1 billion in transactions across a variety of healthcare sub-sectors without incurring a loss or payment default.
Mr. Meade joined GMAC-RFC in 1999 from PricewaterhouseCoopers to lead GMAC-RFC’s mergers and acquisitions valuations team, including valuation efforts leading to GMAC-RFC’s entry into healthcare lending. He previously served as a Vice President at Chase Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) and served in various positions at Associates Corporation of North America (acquired by Citigroup), including Vice President-Acquisitions, responsible for mergers and acquisitions analysis for Commercial Operations.
Mr. Meade holds an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and a B.B.A. in Finance and Management Information Systems from The University of Texas at Austin.
